Features

The Accuphase E-280 features AAVA volume control and a power amplification stage using bipolar transistors in a double parallel push-pull configuration. It delivers 90 watts into 8 ohms and 120 watts into 4 ohms, with a high damping factor of 500. The power amplification stage is configured as an instrumentation amplifier and uses a current feedback amplification topology. Logic-control relays help maintain short signal paths, while a powerful supply with a massive high-efficiency transformer and large filtering capacitors provides stable power delivery. MOS-FET switch-based protection circuitry safeguards the amplifier, while two rear-panel expansion slots allow the use of optional boards.

Providing high-quality power, the E-280 can handle even the most difficult loads. With a huge power transformer and large filtering capacitors, this amp can deliver 120w/ch at 4 ohms and 90w x 2 at 8 ohms. 

Using the AAVA volume control system found in higher models, the signal does not pass through any variable resistors, ensuring the best possible performance. Providing the undeniable quality of Accuphase in a smaller chassis, the E-280 delivers clean, reliable power and exceptional performance.
