Features
The Accuphase E-380 features an AAVA volume control and a power amplification stage with bipolar transistors in a double parallel push-pull configuration. It is rated for 180 watts into 4 ohms and 120 watts into 8 ohms, with a high damping factor of 500. The power amplification stage is configured as an instrumentation amplifier and uses a current feedback amplification topology. Logic-control relays provide the shortest signal paths, while a strong power supply with a massive high-efficiency transformer and large filtering capacitors supports stable operation. MOS-FET switch-based protection circuitry provides protection during operation.
