Official Streaming Services – Netflix & Google Certified

The dedicated Android TV hardware module has official Netflix and Google certification and supports streaming up to 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Certified Android TV apps support services including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, YouTube and others, with availability varying by country. The certified Android TV platform is designed to provide compatibility with supported streaming services.

Dual 3.5" HDD Racks

Two 3.5" SATA HDDs can be installed directly into the media player, with each supporting up to 32 TB and more, providing up to 64 TB and more of storage. HDD hot swap is supported and installation requires no tools. Installed HDDs can be accessed over the local network through the built-in SMB file server. 2.5" SSD/HDDs can also be installed using a 2.5"-to-3.5" adapter.

Dual HDMI Outputs And Inputs

Two separate HDMI outputs provide independent video and audio signal paths, while two HDMI inputs allow additional HDMI sources to be integrated with shared audio/video outputs and advanced audio splitting. Each HDMI input supports up to 8Kp60 HDR, 4Kp60 Dolby Vision, 4Kp120, HD audio formats up to DTS:X and HDCP 2.3, with video and audio passthrough to HDMI1 and audio extraction through HDMI2, S/PDIF and analog outputs.

Built-In Advanced 8K HDMI Switching

The media player incorporates an 8K HDMI switching and audio splitting engine based on the same hardware platform as the HDFury 8K VRROOM video processor. This provides advanced 8K HDMI switching and audio splitting without requiring a separate HDMI switch or splitter.

External High-End Power Supply Connector

An optional external high-end DC power supply can be connected as an alternative to the built-in power supply.

Dedicated USB DAC Port

A dedicated USB audio output is provided for connecting an external Hi-Fi USB DAC. The USB port uses a special hardware design and components to filter electric noise, helping minimise noise transfer to the USB DAC. The gold-plated connector helps prevent oxidation and maintain contact over time.

The standard 43 cm width chassis features a brushed aluminum front panel and is designed to fit into an audio/video rack.

The media player uses the high-end S928X media processor with Dolby Vision VS10, true 8Kp60 decoding and output, AV1 video codec support and powerful overall processing performance.

Full 8K Video Support

The media player supports 8Kp60 HDR video decoding and 8Kp60 HDR video output. It can downscale 8K content to any resolution and upscale content to 8K resolution, with YouTube 8K HDR also supported.

AV1 Video Codec

The AV1 video codec can provide up to 50% video quality improvement without increasing bitrate, or require up to 50% less bitrate for the same video quality. AV1 is already used by YouTube and is increasingly important for compatibility with various video services and content sources.

Powerful CPU And GPU Performance

The main system features four 2.0 GHz ARM A55 cores, a 1.9 GHz ARM A76 core and an additional core for system needs. CPU performance is up to 2x higher than RTD1619DR, while the GPU is upgraded to Mali G57. LPDDR4X and eMMC provide fast overall system performance, with a total Antutu score exceeding 300,000 points. The Android TV module uses a separate quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor.

12 GB Operating Memory

The media player provides 12 GB of total operating memory, with 8 GB for the main 8K platform and 4 GB for the Android TV hardware module. The Android TV memory is fully isolated, ensuring that streaming services do not affect the main system. The 8 GB main-system memory supports system and application caching for faster app launching, operation and switching.

96 GB Flash Memory

The media player provides 96 GB of built-in flash storage, with 64 GB for the main 8K platform and 32 GB for Android TV. The main storage can accommodate applications, system data, movie posters, media library metadata and other user needs, while stored media files can be shared across the local network through the built-in SMB file server.

Dolby Vision And HDR10+

The media player supports HDR, Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ allow the brightness range to vary from frame to frame, providing picture detail in scenes containing dark or bright elements.

Dolby Vision VS10 Video Processor

The Dolby Vision VS10 engine supports SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision content with SDR, HDR or Dolby Vision output signals. It improves conversion between Dolby Vision, HDR and SDR and provides benefits even when used with TVs that do not support Dolby Vision, including Plasma TVs and projectors.

Dolby Vision Profile 7 FEL

Direct playback of Dolby Vision Profile 7 FEL double-track and double-layer files is supported. The player uses both tracks/layers, transmitting Dolby Vision RPU metadata together with the video data. The video data uses 10-bit color depth, combined with Dolby Vision metadata.

Wide Dolby Vision File Format Support

Dolby Vision is supported across MKV, MP4, TS, M2TS, ISO and movie folder structures, with support for Dolby Vision profiles P5, P7 MEL and FEL, and P8.

Dolby Vision ISO And Folder Playback

Movie ISO and folder structures in Dolby Vision MEL and FEL formats can be played directly. Extended Dolby Vision information is used and transmitted to the TV through the Dune HD video playback and output engine.

Full HD Audio Support

The media player supports HD audio output up to Dolby TrueHD and DTS:X through HDMI in bitstream passthrough mode. HD audio can also be decoded to multichannel PCM up to 7.1 channels.

Original Sample Rate Audio Playback

High-quality music files can be played with audio output through HDMI and S/PDIF while preserving the original sample rate. Supported sample rates range from 44.1 to 192 kHz.

Vibration-Isolated HDD Racks

Each HDD rack is isolated from the case using a dedicated vibration-isolation design and anti-vibration dampers, helping reduce HDD noise.

Passive Cooling And 120mm Noctua Fan

The entire metal case acts as a large heatsink, transferring heat from the S928X processor directly to the metal case through special heat-transfer elements. A silent 120mm Noctua ultra-silent fan provides additional HDD cooling and helps ensure HDD longevity under maximum loads.

Android apps can run on either the main 8K system or the dedicated Android TV hardware module. Dune HD supports movie ISO and folder structures with disc menus, 4K, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HD audio. Content can be played from USB and SATA drives or network drives using SMB and NFS. Automatic And Flicker-Free Framerate Switching

The media player automatically switches output framerate and resolution to match the played content. Its flicker-free approach performs video mode switching before playback begins rather than after playback starts, helping avoid unpleasant flickering.

Multichannel DSD And Advanced Music Formats

Supported music formats include multichannel FLAC, WavPack, APE, ALAC and multichannel SACD. DSD files are supported in ISO, DFF and DSF formats, including stereo, multichannel and DST-compressed files. Multichannel DSD can be output to HDMI as multichannel PCM, while stereo DSD can be output to HDMI and S/PDIF as stereo PCM.
