True analog performance begins with stability. The Miracord 40’s rigid 21 mm plinth and carefully damped 21 mm platter minimize resonance and create a stable foundation for playback. An electronically regulated DC motor with integrated vibration damping maintains rotational accuracy with wow and flutter below 0.2%, ensuring controlled, stable rotation that preserves pitch integrity and musical clarity. The custom tonearm delivers smooth, precise tracking for an open and focused presentation that remains faithful to the recording. As ELAC enters its second century, the Miracord 40 stands as a statement of continuity and forward motion, built for today’s listener and for the decades ahead.

8.6" Aluminum Tonearm with Precision Bearing

The precision-machined 8.6" aluminum tonearm with high-quality bearing enables accurate and resonance-free tracking of the record. Thanks to adjustable tracking force and a solid brass counterweight, the tonearm can be optimally tuned to different cartridges, ensuring stable, detailed, and musically balanced playback.

Equipped with an Audio-Technica AT95E Moving Magnet (MM) stereo cartridge

The turntable is equipped with a proven Audio-Technica moving magnet stereo cartridge, known for its reliable, dynamic, and musical sound signature. Factory-pre-mounted and ready to play. 

33 and 45 RPM with electronic speed switching

Whether classic LPs (33 RPM) or singles (45 RPM) – the Miracord 40 plays both! A simple turn of the knob is all it takes to set the desired speed.

Integrated MM RIAA phono preamplifier

An integrated RIAA phono preamplifier allows direct connection to amplifiers or active speakers without an additional phono preamp.

Smooth-running precision drive

The belt drive with electronically controlled DC motor and integrated vibration damping system ensures a particularly smooth, stable drive and creates the basis for precise, unadulterated music reproduction.

Solid turntable with rubber mat

The 16 mm thick, precision-balanced platter ensures smooth, even rotation and reduces unwanted vibrations. The elegant design, with its black lacquered surface and sandblasted aluminum rim, combines a high-quality look with precise manufacturing.

Low-resonance MDF base

The 21 mm thick housing made of high-density MDF in a low-resonance design ensures maximum stability and reduces disturbing vibrations the ideal basis for precise and clean sound reproduction.
