Design Principles

Visual and Acoustic Harmony. The basic rectangular shape of the cabinet, made from solid MDF, is paired with a slightly curved front baffle and provided with large radiuses. This all leads to a compact but impressive appearance. All forms and materials lead to one harmonious picture. Understatement in shape and color: no focus on single elements, the focus points to the whole thing.

JET 6 Tweeter

The ELAC Solano CC281.2 Center Channel Speaker features the advanced JET 6 Tweeter, an ELAC-designed Air Motion Transformer (AMT) engineered and crafted in Kiel, Germany. Operating on the Air Motion Transformer principle, the JET 6 employs a lightweight, folded diaphragm that moves air with exceptional speed and precision, resulting in highly detailed and natural sound reproduction. This innovative design delivers a linear frequency response extending beyond 50 kHz, ensuring effortless clarity in the high-frequency spectrum and faithfully reproducing the finest details in dialogue and effects. The tweeter also achieves an extended lower frequency range, creating a seamless transition with the speaker’s midrange drivers for balanced, lifelike sound.
