The Emotiva BasX MR-1L combines the processing and control capabilities of a high-performance AV processor with nine channels of audiophile-quality Class A/B amplification in a single chassis. Designed for demanding home theatre systems, it supports 4K UHD video, HDR, Dolby Vision, ARC/eARC, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and a wide range of digital and analog audio sources.

Powered by a substantial 660 VA toroidal transformer, the nine-channel amplifier section provides strong current delivery and excellent control, even with demanding low-impedance speakers. The MR-1L also includes 13.2-channel preamp outputs, allowing external power amplifiers to be added when more power or additional channels are required. The internal amplifiers can also be disabled when using the MR-1L as a dedicated surround processor.

The MR-1L features six HDMI 2.0b inputs with support for 4K UHD HDR video, HDCP 2.2, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. Its precision video switching routes the selected video signal directly to the output while minimizing unnecessary processing. With advanced EmoQ room correction, flexible connectivity, and powerful surround processing, the BasX MR-1L is designed to deliver an engaging home theatre experience with the convenience of an integrated receiver.

Enhanced ARC and eARC Support

The MR-1L supports both standard Audio Return Channel (ARC) and enhanced eARC for compatible TVs. HDMI Output 1 provides ARC/eARC connectivity, allowing compatible televisions to send audio back to the receiver through a single HDMI connection.

Active HDMI Output Switching

The MR-1L provides individual HDMI output control to help prevent connected displays with different capabilities from limiting the available video format. Each HDMI output can be temporarily disabled when not in use, helping maintain the highest compatible resolution and HDR performance for the active display.

Detailed Surround Sound and Video Performance

Six HDMI 2.0b inputs support 4K UHD HDR video, while the advanced Analog Devices SHARC DSP provides processing for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Surround, DTS, DTS:X, DTS Neural:X, and other popular surround formats. This combination provides flexible processing for modern immersive home theatre systems.

The MR-1L features second-generation EmoQ Automatic Room Correction with a graphical interface designed to measure and optimize the response of the connected speakers and listening environment. It also provides three separate manual speaker presets with flexible parametric EQ options. The front left and right channels and center channel each provide 11 bands of full parametric EQ, while the surround and top channels provide 7 bands each. The subwoofer channels offer 5 bands of parametric EQ for additional low-frequency adjustment.
