At the heart of the SC205 is EVE Audio’s high-resolution DSP system, controlled directly from the front panel via the intuitive SMART-knob. Volume, filters, and room-adaptation settings can be adjusted quickly and stored securely, ensuring consistent performance and preventing accidental changes during critical sessions.

The SC205 combines EVE Audio’s proprietary Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter with a 5” SilverCone woofer. The SMART-knob – Intuitive Control at Your Fingertips

The SMART-knob is EVE Audio’s signature control interface, designed to give you direct, precise access to all essential monitor settings without external controllers or software. By combining a rotary encoder with an illuminated LED ring, it offers a clear visual reference and an intuitive hands-on workflow perfect for fast adjustments during critical listening sessions.

Powering On / Off & Standby Mode

Press and hold the SMART-knob for three seconds to activate Standby Mode. The volume fades out smoothly while the LED ring completes one full rotation around the control. Once in standby, a dim LED remains lit at the right end, and power consumption drops to an energy-efficient 1 watt.

Volume Control & Mute

Volume is adjusted simply by turning the knob. Depending on the selected LED mode, the level is displayed either as a bright or dim ring, or as a single moving point. To activate Mute, rotate the knob fully counter-clockwise until the minimum level is reached indicated by a dim LED on the left end of the ring.

Settings Menu & Filter Access

A single press on the SMART-knob opens the Settings Menu, allowing access to room adaptation filters and LED behavior. The currently active parameter blinks on the LED ring, making navigation clear and effortless.

High Filter

The High-Shelf Filter adjusts frequencies above 3 kHz in precise 0.5 dB steps. It is ideal for compensating listening distance or room acoustics boosting highs in larger or acoustically “dead” rooms, or gently reducing them in close-field desktop setups or reflective environments.

Mid Filter

The Mid Filter is a bell-shaped EQ centered at 1 kHz, offering ±3 dB adjustment in 0.5 dB increments. This filter helps balance the critical midrange, allowing you to compensate for room reflections and fine-tune the relationship between fundamental tones and harmonics.

Desk Filter

Designed specifically for desktop environments, the Desk Filter targets low-mid frequencies (typically between 160–200 Hz, model-dependent). Cutting this range reduces unwanted bass buildup caused by desk reflections, while boosting can add punch and weight when needed.

Low Filter

The Low-Shelf Filter adjusts frequencies below 300 Hz in 0.5 dB steps. It is ideal for controlling excessive bass caused by room modes or wall proximity, or for enhancing low-frequency response in rooms where bass feels thin.
