Description
The SC307 from EVE Audio is a high-performance three-way active studio monitor designed for both home and professional studio environments. It features three dedicated power amplifiers delivering a combined short-term output of 250 watts, driving two 6.5-inch SilverCone woofers and the advanced AMT RS2 tweeter. This configuration provides exceptional headroom, clarity, and accuracy while maintaining extremely low distortion, even at higher listening levels.
Three-Way Design with Optimized Frequency Distribution
To improve efficiency and precision, the SC307 uses a unique dual-woofer configuration. One custom-made 6.5-inch SilverCone woofer is dedicated to low frequencies from 40 Hz to 300 Hz, while the second handles midrange frequencies up to 3 kHz. This separation allows each driver to operate within its optimal range, resulting in tighter bass response, improved midrange clarity, and a more controlled overall sound.
AMT RS2 High-Frequency Driver
The proprietary AMT RS2 tweeter is engineered for superior high-frequency performance. Featuring a large front plate and a powerful internal magnet structure, the RS2 delivers exceptional efficiency, fast transient response, and highly detailed highs. This design ensures accurate stereo imaging and a natural, open top end that is critical for critical listening and mixing applications.
Flexible Connectivity and Front Panel Control
The SC307 offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, making it easy to integrate into a wide variety of studio setups. A front-panel selector knob provides direct access to volume control and onboard filter settings, allowing users to fine-tune the monitor’s response to suit room acoustics and personal workflow preferences.
DSP-Based Control System
The monitor incorporates a DSP-controlled system accessed via a single push-and-turn knob. High-quality Burr-Brown A/D converters operating at 24-bit / 192 kHz ensure precise digital processing for volume adjustment and filter control, maintaining signal integrity while offering flexible acoustic tuning options.
Efficient Bass Port Design
The SC307 features a large rear-mounted rectangular bass port with smooth, rounded edges. This design improves airflow efficiency, reduces port noise, and enhances low-frequency performance, delivering deeper and more controlled bass reproduction without unwanted turbulence or coloration.
