Description
Extend the low-end all the way down The most important features at a glance
Built for absolute low-frequency authority, the TS112 delivers an extended 24–300 Hz frequency range, powered by a massive 12-inch woofer and capable of reaching an impressive 112 dB SPL. It is designed for professionals who demand uncompromised depth, power, and precision in their monitoring environment.
The TS112 represents the flagship of EVE Audio’s ThunderStorm subwoofer range, offering powerful yet highly controlled bass reproduction without any low-port noise or distortion. Thanks to its passive radiator design, the subwoofer delivers clean and accurate low frequencies while maintaining clarity even at high output levels. Like every ThunderStorm model, it features advanced control options including switchable satellite filters, phase switch control, and variable subwoofer crossover frequencies, allowing precise tuning to match your room acoustics and monitoring setup.
As EVE Audio’s largest and most uncompromising subwoofer, the TS112 is driven by a highly efficient PWM amplifier capable of 400 W short-term output power. This powerful amplification, combined with the large 12-inch woofer, ensures a clean and authoritative frequency response extending all the way down to 24 Hz, while remaining controlled up to 300 Hz. With a maximum output of 112 dB SPL (@ 1 m), the TS112 delivers massive low-end performance with ease powerful enough to fill large studios while retaining accuracy and balance.
Overall, the ThunderStorm subwoofer series is designed to make your entire monitoring system sound more cohesive and complete, ensuring the low end integrates seamlessly rather than overpowering the mix. For professional connectivity, the TS112 includes balanced XLR inputs and outputs, featuring Stereo In/Out, LFE In, and LFE/Sub Out, offering flexibility and easy integration into complex studio signal chains.
The DSP
A notable feature of the TS112 is its high-quality DSP section, powered by a high-resolution Burr-Brown converter. This DSP processing is applied exclusively to the subwoofer driver, while the signal path to the satellite speakers remains fully analog, with no A/D/A conversion. When the “Pure Satellite” mode is activated, the subwoofer and DSP filter section are completely bypassed, allowing direct control of satellite volume while preserving signal purity.
The included remote control enables effortless adjustment of both the subwoofer volume and the entire stereo system’s level, letting you fine-tune your low-end response comfortably from your listening position.
More than just a subwoofer
While sonic performance is the priority, the TS112 is designed as a complete, thoughtfully engineered solution from start to finish.
SMART-knob
Easily set, adjust, and store filters and volume directly on the unit.
Passive Radiator
Ensures precise bass reproduction with zero background noise or airflow distortion.
Parameter Lock
Keeps all your settings safely stored, even when the subwoofer is powered off.
Safe Fade-In
Gradually increases volume during power-up to protect both your ears and connected equipment.
The Passive Radiator
The defining characteristic of the TS112 is its passive radiator design, which replaces the traditional bass reflex port. This eliminates all audible noise caused by air turbulence, resulting in a cleaner and more controlled bass response.
Unwanted pipe resonances inevitable in bass reflex systems due to two-sided port openings are completely removed. The suspension of the passive radiator provides a restoring force below its tuning frequency, reducing unnecessary subsonic excursions. This leads to lower intermodulation distortion and greater clarity throughout the operating range. By using this advanced design, the TS112 achieves exceptionally low tuning frequencies while maintaining a compact cabinet, delivering deep, powerful, and accurate bass without compromise.
