The DLA-NZ700 represents the newest evolution in JVC’s D-ILA projector lineup, integrating the Gen3 0.69-inch Native 4K D-ILA devices, 80,000:1 native contrast, and the latest BLU-Escent laser light source delivering 2,300 lumens. Equipped with the advanced Gen2 Frame Adapt HDR and an all-new “Vivid” picture mode, this projector elevates both HDR and SDR content to unprecedented levels of realism, depth, and color vibrancy.

All-New Design
The World’s Smallest Native 4K D-ILA Projector

Every core component of the projector including the optical engine, lens assembly, and circuit board has been completely redesigned. This new architecture enables a 35% reduction in size compared to the previous DLA-NZ7/RS2100, all while maintaining a native 4K D-ILA device and a high-output laser light engine. Its refined form factor offers unmatched installation flexibility for both living rooms and dedicated theatres.

Improved Airflow & Rear Exhaust Design

The DLA-NZ700 adopts a newly optimized airflow path that relocates heat exhaust to the rear of the unit. By preventing hot airflow from spilling onto the screen, this design ensures zero image distortion, enhanced installation placement, and a more stable viewing environment.

Environmentally Conscious Construction

JVC’s new chassis design uses significantly less plastic, reducing environmental footprint and streamlining transportation. The result is a lightweight yet durable product engineered with sustainability in mind.

Third-Generation Native 4K D-ILA Device

The new 0.69-inch native 4K device delivers substantial improvements in pixel flatness, alignment accuracy, and black-gradation performance. The DLA-NZ700 reaches an impressive 80,000:1 native contrast, offering incredibly deep blacks and high shadow detail. (The NZ500/RS1200 achieves 40,000:1.)

With enhanced manufacturing precision, the projector ensures beautifully uniform brightness across the entire screen, maintaining clarity and consistency from edge to edge.

New BLU-Escent Laser
Brighter, Cleaner, Longer Lasting

The updated BLU-Escent laser engine employs a high-efficiency blue-laser diode system to achieve 2,300 lumens of brightness, delivering punchy HDR performance regardless of screen size. The laser system boasts a lifespan of approximately 20,000 hours for years of maintenance-free operation.

Power efficiency has dramatically improved brightness per watt is now twice that of JVC’s first-generation Z1 laser projector (2017). The light source further offers 101 granular brightness steps, allowing fine control to precisely match the viewing environment and screen characteristics.

New Fully Motorized 4K Lens for Superior Clarity

A completely redesigned 80mm, 11-group, 15-element all-glass lens ensures optimal light utilization and delivers full native 4K resolution with superb sharpness across the entire image. Installation is effortless thanks to fully motorized zoom, focus, and lens shift, offering ±70% vertical and ±28% horizontal movement for maximum positioning freedom.

Unmatched HDR Performance
Bigger Dynamic Range, Deeper Blacks

The DLA-NZ700 supports a full suite of HDR formats: HDR10, HLG, and HDR10+ with dynamic metadata. The enhanced brightness and high native contrast allow these formats to shine with exceptional realism.

The DML (Display Mastering Luminance) system reads professional grading monitor metadata (MaxCLL & MaxFALL), enabling highly accurate scene-by-scene HDR tone mapping.

HDR10+ for True Scene-by-Scene Accuracy

Unlike standard HDR10 which uses only two static values HDR10+ embeds luminance data for each scene, allowing the projector to reproduce exactly what the filmmaker intended.

Gen2 Frame Adapt HDR
Brighter, More Colorful, More Dynamic

The second-generation Frame Adapt HDR engine has been re-engineered with a new tone-mapping algorithm. It analyzes HDR10 content per frame or per scene, intelligently adjusting brightness and color to maximize dynamic range. The upgraded algorithm produces higher brightness highlights, richer colors, and a wider HDR impact.

The newly added Deep Black Tone Control further refines dark-area gradation, producing the deepest and most natural black levels ever seen in a JVC projector.

Cinema-Grade Color Reproduction

FILMMAKER MODE™ ensures movies are presented exactly as the creators intended.
JVC’s advanced Cinema Filter supports the DCI-P3 wide color gamut, recreating intense reds, lush greens, natural skin tones, and deep blues with cinematic accuracy. The new Vivid Mode enhances SDR content, delivering bright, punchy colors ideal for animation and general streaming.

Precision Calibration & Color Control

The DLA-NZ700 is fully ISF-certified (ISF C3), allowing professional calibrators to lock precise settings tailored to your screen and room. A 6-axis color management system enables highly accurate adjustments of hue, saturation, and brightness across primary and secondary colors.

The Auto Calibration function works with an optional optical sensor to correct gamma, color space, and brightness shifts caused by the installation environment now fully optimized in a single process.

Convenience & Installation Features

Installation Mode

Eight installation-related settings Lens Control, Pixel Adjust, Masking, Anamorphic, Screen Mode, Installation Style, Keystone, and Aspect are grouped for easy setup. You can store up to 5 custom installation mode presets.

Screen Adjustment Mode

Choose your screen model from JVC’s database, and the projector automatically optimizes color balance for that surface.

Digital Keystone

Vertical digital keystone correction is available when placement requires a slight tilt. (Cannot be used simultaneously with other lens correction modes.)

Anamorphic Mode

Supports 2.35:1 anamorphic lenses for true cinematic ultra-wide visuals.

USB Backup

All installation settings can be saved to a USB drive ideal for installers, service, or restoring projector settings if changed accidentally.
