Linn 119 Bookshelf Speaker

Description

Linn has a long history of designing and manufacturing compact hi-fi loudspeakers with excellent performance that belies their size. 119 reflects this pedigree, with a new performance benchmark and the addition of peerless versatility when it comes to building and expanding a system.

With the Linn 119 speaker, Linn’s goal was to create fundamentally entertaining loudspeakers, but with refinement, sophistication and neutrality, so that they would play any source material equally well – and equally enjoyably.

119 are fitted with premium drive units, delivering excellent linear performance and excursion capability. Drawing from what Linn learned from the development of their flagship 360 loudspeakers, drive units are mounted at the very front of the baffle, with no grille, to minimise occlusion and improve excursion.

Component quality is high throughout. Lower-order crossovers in 119 and 150 are designed for signal purity and, as a result, lend the speakers speed and dynamism.

119 are available in Satin Black, White, Walnut, or Oak veneered finish. Inspired by Linn’s flagship 360 speaker is a magnet-mounted trim piece, featuring fine concentric grooves redolent of the surface of a vinyl record and an electro-formed Linn logo which serves as a tweeter guard.

Key Features

The Linn 119 loudspeakers are designed to deliver superior linear performance, combining premium drive units with a high-quality, lower-order passive crossover for precise and natural sound reproduction. The Linn logo tweeter guard adds a distinctive finishing touch while protecting the tweeter. Their rear-ported cabinet design supports excellent omnidirectional bass performance, contributing to a balanced and engaging listening experience. For greater system flexibility, the passive crossover can be quickly and easily bypassed, allowing the speakers to operate with Linn Exakt technology.
