The Linn 360 Integrated Exakt Loudspeakers bring Linn’s flagship loudspeaker, digital conversion, crossover processing and amplification technologies together within one fully integrated pair.
Available in seven cabinet finishes with Natural Silver or Anodised Black drive-unit trim, each pair can be configured around the interior, listening room and compatible Linn source system.
The Linn 360 Integrated Exakt Loudspeakers combine a four-way acoustic design with onboard Organik DAC architecture, Exakt digital crossover processing and dedicated amplification.
Each loudspeaker receives a digital signal through Exakt Link, processes the signal for its individual drive units and performs the required digital-to-analogue conversion and amplification internally. This removes the need for separate power amplifiers, analogue crossover networks and long runs of conventional speaker cable.
The Linn 360 cabinet uses a curved front profile that gradually tapers towards the top of the loudspeaker.
The shape surrounding each drive unit has been engineered to support clean dispersion, helping sound travel away from the cabinet with fewer physical obstructions. Its fluid form gives the Linn 360 a confident architectural presence while keeping the cabinet design closely connected to its acoustic purpose.
Choose from Walnut, Clyde Built, Single Malt, Linn Heritage, Alpine White, Piano Black or Triton.
Each cabinet finish can be paired with Natural Silver or Anodised Black machined-aluminium drive-unit trim, creating fourteen visual combinations. The finish and trim can be selected to complement the room, surrounding furniture and connected Linn electronics.
Digital crossover processing, conversion and amplification are housed within each loudspeaker.
Linn’s reference digital-to-analogue architecture is dedicated to the drive units inside each loudspeaker.
The onboard electronics remove the need for a separate multi-amplifier system.
The cabinet, drive units and internal electronics have been developed as one complete acoustic and digital platform.
The shaped baffle and flush-mounted drive units support consistent dispersion and a broad, stable presentation throughout the listening space. Voices and instruments can occupy clearly defined positions within the soundstage rather than appearing fixed to the cabinets.
Organik DAC architecture is built into the Linn 360 Integrated Exakt Loudspeakers rather than being confined to a separate source component. The Exakt digital crossover first divides the incoming signal into the frequency bands required by the tweeter, midrange, upper-bass and lower-bass sections.
Each band is then converted and amplified within the loudspeaker, reducing the number of analogue stages between the source and each drive unit.
Each drive unit is partnered with dedicated onboard amplification selected and configured for its particular operating range.
This avoids the compromises of a passive analogue crossover, where one external amplifier must drive several different units through a shared network of components. The complete loudspeaker can therefore be engineered as one coordinated system rather than as a cabinet added to separately selected amplification.
Linn Exakt processing divides the digital signal into the precise frequency ranges required by the individual drive units.
It also provides the processing needed to align the output of those units in time, helping the different elements that form each musical note reach the listener together.
This approach gives Linn greater control over phase, timing and the interaction between the drive units than would be possible through a conventional passive crossover.
A 19 mm tweeter handles the highest frequencies, accompanied by a 64 mm thin-ply woven carbon midrange dome. A 190 mm aluminium and magnesium upper-bass driver supports the transition into the lower registers. Two 220 mm long-throw aluminium lower-bass drive units provide the scale and extension expected from Linn’s flagship loudspeaker.
The Linn 360 Integrated Exakt Loudspeakers connect to a compatible Linn network music player or System Hub through Exakt Link.
The source component handles streaming, connected sources and system control before sending the digital audio signal to the loudspeakers. The system therefore requires a compatible Exakt-enabled Linn DSM or System Hub and is not intended to connect directly to a conventional analogue preamplifier.
Space Optimisation+ can model how the loudspeakers, their practical positions and the construction of the room interact at lower frequencies.
The configuration can take account of room dimensions, walls, doors, windows, construction materials and the principal listening position. Because the speakers are digitally controlled, the resulting optimisation can be applied within the complete Exakt signal path.
