Description
Multi-zone network music player
Now you can enjoy Linn quality sound in every room of your home. Incorporating Linn’s proven, best-in-class DSM streaming technology, Kustom DSM.
A highly scaleable solution, connect as many Kustom DSM products together as you need to enjoy music throughout your entire home. Kustom DSM can also be combined with any Linn system within the same multi-room system, enabling you to select different levels of Linn performance depending on how you use the space and enjoy an even more immersive and enriching listening experience.
Kustom DSM can be integrated with Crestron and Control4 systems, so you can enjoy Linn as part of a wider smart home automation system. It also works with Kazoo, Linn’s control app, available on your smart phone, tablet or laptop, so you always have a way to access your music to hand.
Kustom DSM is housed in chassis, designed to fit into a standard 19” rack (mounting brackets provided) or be placed on a shelf or in a cupboard using the feet provided. LED indicators on the front panel show the status and mapping of each zone at a glance. The Linn Kustom DSM is a multi-zone network music player introduced in December 2019 and available until October 2025. It was offered in two versions to suit different multi-room audio requirements: the Kustom DSM Z4, featuring 2 streamers and 4 zones, and the Kustom DSM Z8, featuring 4 streamers and 8 zones.
Features
The Linn Kustom DSM uses Linn DS streaming technology to distribute music across multiple zones, with support for Songcast and NetAux (AirPlay), and is built on ARM-Linux hardware. Each streamer provides four dedicated inputs: one analogue, two digital and one HDMI-ARC. Housed in a compact 1U, 19-inch rack-mount design, it features stereo pre-out sockets for every zone, independent standby, mute and volume controls for each zone, and master volume control for each streamer group. The system offers the flexibility to select amplifiers and speakers to suit the installation, with streamer and zone grouping configured during installation. It also integrates with Control4 and Crestron control systems, while front-panel indicators display the configuration and operating status of each zone. A Linn Utopik power supply has been fitted as standard since October 2023.
