Description
The Linn Stereo Hybrid Cartridge combines powered and line-level stereo output within a compatible Linn Selekt DSM configuration, offering flexibility for systems that require both amplified and line-level connections. Its hybrid design allows different parts of the audio system to be configured around the specific amplification and loudspeaker requirements.
As part of Linn’s modular Selekt DSM architecture, the cartridge provides a versatile output solution for compatible mixed-amplification systems. It requires one compatible stereo DAC module to complete the audio signal path.
Compatibility
The Linn Stereo Hybrid Cartridge works with one compatible stereo DAC module. The overall configuration should be selected according to the requirements of the connected amplification, loudspeakers and wider Selekt DSM system.
The Linn Stereo Hybrid Cartridge adds a flexible combination of powered and line-level output capability to Linn’s configurable Selekt DSM platform. It is designed for systems where different parts of the audio chain require different amplification approaches, allowing one Selekt DSM configuration to combine internally powered channels with line-level output for external amplification.
Flexible Selekt DSM amplification
Combine powered and line-level output in one system
Selekt DSM is designed to be configured around the architecture of the system rather than forcing every installation into the same layout.
The Linn Stereo Hybrid Cartridge is ideal where one part of the system needs amplification from within Selekt DSM while another part is better served by external amplification.
This gives Rococo Systems greater flexibility when designing a Selekt system around existing equipment, future upgrades or more complex loudspeaker arrangements.
Flexible system design
Useful where part of the system is driven directly from Selekt DSM and another section uses external amplification.
Configure the amplification path
Useful for mixed amplification systems
The Stereo Hybrid Cartridge sits between the simpler Power Out and Line Out configurations. A Stereo Power Out Cartridge is the natural choice when Selekt DSM will directly power suitable passive loudspeakers. A Stereo Line Out Cartridge is better suited where amplification is handled entirely by separate power amplifiers.
The Stereo Hybrid Cartridge is designed for systems that need both approaches within the same Selekt DSM configuration. This can be particularly useful when developing an existing system rather than replacing every component at once.
Choose the right DAC level
Partner the cartridge with the appropriate stereo DAC
The Stereo Hybrid Cartridge operates with one compatible stereo DAC module. Stereo Standard, Stereo Katalyst and Stereo Organik DAC options provide different performance routes within Selekt DSM, allowing the digital conversion stage to be matched to the ambition of the wider system.
Requires one DAC
The cartridge works with one compatible stereo DAC module selected according to the required performance level.
