Linn Stereo Standard DAC

The Linn Stereo Standard DAC provides the entry point into Linn’s configurable Selekt DSM digital-to-analogue conversion platform. It fits inside a compatible Selekt DSM audio cartridge, converting the digital audio signal before it reaches the cartridge’s line-level output, integrated power amplifier or Hybrid 1.1 output stage.

The Linn Stereo Standard DAC is an internal stereo digital-to-analogue converter module designed for compatible Linn Selekt DSM configurations. It provides an entry-level DAC option within the modular Selekt DSM platform, converting digital audio signals into analogue output for stereo playback.

Designed for use with compatible stereo cartridge modules, the DAC supports both left and right audio channels within a single cartridge. Linn Stereo Standard DAC for Selekt DSM

The Linn Stereo Standard DAC is an internal digital-to-analogue converter module designed for compatible Linn Selekt DSM cartridges. It provides Linn’s Standard, or Level 1, stereo DAC performance and is intended for customers creating a new Selekt DSM configuration or replacing a compatible Standard or Katalyst stereo DAC module.

Compatible Selekt DSM applications

The Stereo Standard DAC can be fitted to compatible stereo audio cartridges used within a Selekt DSM. These may include stereo line-out cartridges, stereo power-out cartridges and Hybrid 1.1 cartridges, subject to the precise Selekt DSM configuration.

One DAC for each audio cartridge

A compatible Selekt DSM audio cartridge requires one DAC module before it can produce an audio output. The Stereo Standard DAC provides conversion for both left and right channels within a compatible stereo cartridge.

Standard, Katalyst and Organik DAC choices

Linn offers three stereo DAC performance levels for compatible Selekt DSM applications: Standard, Katalyst and Organik. The Standard DAC is the entry-level option. Katalyst and Organik modules are available separately for customers seeking higher levels of conversion performance.

Important DAC compatibility

Standard and Katalyst stereo DAC modules can be used with compatible Selekt DSM cartridges, but only one DAC type can be installed in each cartridge. Standard or Katalyst DAC modules must not be mixed with Organik DAC modules within the same Selekt DSM. The complete internal configuration should therefore be checked before an upgrade or replacement module is ordered.
