Reference Series - Integrated Amplifier

The PM-14S1 integrated amplifier delivers superb sound quality and operational versatility, and features exclusive Marantz technologies such as our HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) discrete circuitry and current feedback topology. Featuring a massive power supply with a high current toroidal power transformer wound with Oxygen Free Copper secondaries that is rated at 650 VA along with high speed high current Schottky Barrier Diodes in the rectifier circuit, the PM-14S1 is rated at 90 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 140 watts per channel into 4 ohms (both from 20Hz - 20kHz).

A total of 24 HDAM units are employed throughout the amplifier, including the line level stage, phono equalizer stage and the power amplifier stages. The power amplifiers feature separated circuitry and dual massive heat sinks along with multiple discrete high current power transistors to deliver wide dynamic range and stability even with lower impedance speaker loads. The elegant remote control can also control the matching SA-14S1 Super Audio CD/CD player, and there's a power amp direct input that allows the PM-14S1 to be used as a standalone power amplifier for even more system configuration versatility.

Marantz HDAM Technology

Marantz’s exclusive HDAM technology replaces traditional integrated circuits with discrete circuit components to preserve analog signal purity. This results in wideband audio with expansive dynamic range and an inaudible noise floor. A total of 24 HDAM SA2 and SA3 modules are employed throughout the phono, line-level, headphone, pre-amp, and power amp stages to maintain the highest level of sonic fidelity.

Fully Discrete High Current Amplifier Stages

The power amplifier stages are designed with high-current output devices and segregated circuitry for maximum channel separation. Each stage features massive extruded aluminum alloy heat sinks that dissipate heat silently without fans. Rated at 90W per channel (8Ω) and 140W per channel (4Ω), these stages ensure wide dynamic range, high stability, and consistent performance, even with low-impedance speakers.

Rigid Chassis, Thick Aluminum Top Cover, and Heavy Feet

The PM-14S1 Special Edition begins with a solid foundation. Its rigid chassis, thick aluminum top plate, and heavy feet reduce vibrations and prevent microphonic effects, keeping sensitive audio signals pristine and unaltered.

Multiple Analogue Inputs and Outputs

Connectivity is highly versatile, featuring phono and CD analog inputs, two additional line-level inputs, and dual recorder input/output jacks. A Power Amp Direct input allows the amplifier to operate as a standalone stereo power amp, while stereo pre-amp outputs enable integration with external amplifiers, giving complete system flexibility.

Dedicated Headphone Output
