The CS200 In-Ceiling Loudspeaker is designed for premium custom-installed audio solutions, making it an excellent choice for whole-home distributed audio when used with McIntosh MI128 or MI254 distribution amplifiers. With precise voice matching to the WS500 and WS300 in-wall speakers, it delivers a smooth, consistent, and immersive listening experience across rooms. It also performs exceptionally well as a surround speaker in dedicated home theaters powered by McIntosh A/V processors and multi-channel amplifiers.
3-way design for superior clarity
Built with a 3-way architecture, the CS200 houses an 8-inch woven glass fiber woofer, two 2-inch inverted titanium dome midranges, and a ¾-inch titanium dome tweeter. The midrange and tweeter assembly is positioned on a rotating array, allowing you to precisely aim high and mid frequencies for optimal performance in any room layout. These midrange and tweeter drivers are the same high-performance units used in the XR50 and XR100 home audio speakers, ensuring consistent McIntosh-quality sound.
Seamless integration and customization
The CS200 blends effortlessly into interior spaces thanks to its magnetically attached grille, which is easily removable and fully paintable. Once installed and finished, it leaves minimal visible edges, allowing the speaker to disappear into the ceiling. For custom installations, an optional RK200 rough-in kit is available to support pre-construction mounting.
