The MC830 features Monogrammed Heatsinks™ for both visual appeal and efficient cooling, ensuring optimal performance during long listening sessions. For protection, the MC830 includes McIntosh’s patented Power Guard® technology, which monitors the output signal in real time to prevent speaker-damaging clipping, and Sentry Monitor™, a fuse-less short-circuit protection circuit that disengages the output stage if current exceeds safe levels and resets automatically.
Additional McIntosh features include gold-plated Solid Cinch™ speaker binding posts to securely attach speaker cables, Power Control ports for synchronized system power on/off, and a user-selectable Auto Off feature that powers down the unit after 30 minutes of inactivity.
