The McIntosh RS250 Wireless Loudspeaker System is the company’s most advanced and powerful wireless speaker to date, offering a complete stand-alone audio solution designed to elevate modern streaming. With a comprehensive suite of built-in casting technologies including Spotify® Connect, TIDAL® Connect, Apple® AirPlay® 2, Bluetooth®, Chromecast, and Roon Ready capabilities the RS250 allows effortless streaming from virtually any smart device without the need for a dedicated control app. Created as the stereo successor to the popular RS200, it combines high-resolution streaming with classic McIntosh engineering for a premium listening experience.

Engineered for full-range music playback, the RS250 delivers a commanding 650 Watts of total power to its sophisticated driver array: two 4" x 6" down-firing woofers, four 2" front-firing midranges, and two 3/4" front-firing tweeters. The redesigned woofer enclosure minimizes distortion, while new bass controls allow users to fine-tune low-frequency performance. Those seeking even deeper bass can easily add an external powered subwoofer via the dedicated sub output.

Designed for versatility, the RS250 seamlessly integrates into both modern streaming environments and traditional audio setups. In addition to wireless playback, it supports vinyl listening through its dedicated Moving Magnet phono input and can significantly enhance TV sound via its HDMI ARC input. For televisions without ARC compatibility, an optical input is included. The RS250 supports TIDAL HiFi Lossless playback and streams up to 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution audio, making it a fully certified Roon Ready endpoint for uncompromised streaming quality.

Connectivity extends beyond streaming, with options including Bluetooth 5.0 with support for AAC, Qualcomm® aptX™ HD, and aptX Low Latency, ensuring high-resolution playback and lip-sync-accurate audio for video content. Apple AirPlay 2 adds multi-room functionality and voice control via Siri, while integration with Google Assistant enables convenient voice-activated operation. Traditional sources can be connected through the optical input, 3.5mm AUX, or front-panel 1/4" headphone jack, and the speaker supports both wired ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi for flexible network setup.

Exclusive to the RS150 and RS250, the system features new quick-responding LED digital output meters designed using the same trusted circuitry as McIntosh’s iconic analog meters, but displayed as vibrant, curved digital bar meters. These complement the classic McIntosh aesthetic, highlighted by the black glass front panel, illuminated McIntosh logo, and signature control knobs.
