Description
The WS300 In-Wall Loudspeaker is a highly versatile, fully enclosed speaker designed to deliver premium audio performance in any standard 2x4 wall installation. Whether used for stereo listening, distributed whole-home audio, or as part of a multi-channel home theater, the WS300 provides powerful, room-filling sound with exceptional clarity. When paired with McIntosh MI128 or MI254 distribution amplifiers, a pair of WS300s can transform any room into a rich, immersive sound environment.
Perfectly voice-matched to the WS500 in-wall speaker, the WS300 excels as a center channel in home theater setups that use WS500s for the left and right channels. It can also be used as a consistent front, center, and surround speaker system when multiple WS300s are installed throughout the theater. To complete a cinematic soundstage, the CS200 in-ceiling speaker, also voice-matched, pairs seamlessly with the WS series for overhead and atmospheric effects.
Built as a 3-way, fully enclosed loudspeaker, the WS300 minimizes distortion and maintains performance stability in all environments. It features one 8" woofer, two 2" inverted Titanium dome midranges, and a 3/4" Titanium dome tweeter, delivering detailed highs, natural mids, and powerful low-frequency response. The newly designed shallow 8" woofer fits perfectly within standard 2x4 wall depth, while its long-throw, carbon-reinforced cone ensures high output with exceptional linearity. The midrange and tweeter drivers are the same components used in McIntosh’s XR50 and XR100 speakers, delivering home-audio-grade clarity and precision.
A magnetically attached, paintable grille allows the WS300 to blend discreetly into any interior, leaving minimal visible edges and enabling the speaker to virtually disappear into the wall. It comes equipped with all necessary post-construction mounting hardware, providing a smooth installation process. For new construction projects, an optional RK300 rough-in kit is available to ensure perfect placement and support.
