Designed for real‑world rigs, this compact 2U, Class‑AB workhorse delivers 150 W x2 into 8 Ω, 225 W x2 into 4 Ω, and bridges to 400 W mono. It’s THX Ultra2 certified, adds dual A/B speaker outputs with a front‑panel lockout, and is happy with tough loads thanks to 35 A peak current and a high‑current toroidal transformer. Integration is simple: Gold-plated RCA input jacks, 12 V trigger or audio‑sense auto‑on, and a switchable 20/40 Hz high‑pass filter to protect smaller speakers or squeeze more headroom.

The Parasound NewClassic 2125 v.2 2-Channel Power Amplifier is a versatile, high-performance amplifier designed for stereo audio and home theatre applications. THX Ultra2 certified, it delivers 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 225 watts per channel into 4 or 2 ohms, with both channels driven, while bridged mono operation provides 400 watts into 8 or 4 ohms. With a peak current capability of 35 amperes per channel and a dedicated load selector switch for stable 2-ohm operation, it is designed to handle a variety of speaker loads. Its fully discrete circuitry and high-current toroidal transformer support reliable power delivery, while a bridging switch enables selection between stereo and mono operation.

Two pairs of speaker outputs with front-panel A/B buttons allow convenient speaker selection, and a rear-mounted lockout switch prevents accidental changes to these controls. A switchable high-pass filter offers 20 Hz and 40 Hz settings, while automatic power-on and off can be controlled through a DC trigger with looping output or audio signal sensing with two sensitivity settings. Additional features include an efficient, low-heat design, DC servo and relay protection circuits, rear-mounted left and right gain controls, and front-panel indicators for standby, channel status, and high temperature. Gold-plated RCA input jacks and heavy-duty 24-karat gold-plated five-way speaker terminals provide reliable connections. A rear-panel 120/230V selector supports the appropriate power configuration, and the amplifier can be rack-mounted using the optional 2U RMK22 rack-mount kit, sold separately.
