Description
The Parasound Halo Hint 6 Integrated Amplifier offers a range of refined features designed for exceptional performance and user convenience. It is equipped with a Burr Brown analog resistor ladder volume control for precise, high-quality sound adjustment and a dimmable front panel volume display for optimal visibility in different lighting conditions. The updated USB receiver is plug-and-play compatible with both Windows 10 and Mac systems, while the inclusion of an additional optical input provides a total of two optical connections for greater flexibility.
The ball-bearing supported solid aluminum volume knob ensures smooth, durable operation, and users can enjoy a programmable default turn-on volume setting along with a favorite volume memory feature accessible via a dedicated remote control button. Enhancements also include increased phono stage gain to better accommodate lower-output cartridges, improved left/right channel separation for superior stereo imaging, and enhanced balance tracking for accurate audio reproduction. The amplifier’s design is finished with updated cosmetics featuring subtle gold highlights, giving it a sophisticated and modern look.

The Parasound Halo Hint 6 is a high-quality integrated amplifier that combines a preamp, DAC, and powerful power amp in one unit. Its preamp and DAC use the ESS Sabre32 Reference DAC for clear, detailed sound, supporting high-resolution PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and native DSD playback. It includes USB, coaxial, and optical inputs, a phono stage for turntables, a dedicated headphone amp, home theater bypass, and analog bass management. There are multiple RCA and XLR inputs and outputs, subwoofer outputs, bass and treble controls, and a back-lit remote. It also meets Energy Star standards with low standby power use.
The power amp delivers 160 watts per channel into 8 ohms (240W into 4 ohms) with a design by audio legend John Curl. It runs in high-bias Class A/AB for rich sound and uses a large toroidal transformer, dual-mono power supply, and high-quality components like matched JFETs, MOSFET drivers, and gold-plated binding posts. Built-in protection guards against overheating and short circuits, making it powerful, reliable, and great for serious music listening.
