The Parasound Zphono XRM Phono Preamplifier is designed for versatile vinyl playback, featuring dual inputs for connecting two turntables simultaneously, with dedicated support for one Moving Magnet (MM) and one Moving Coil (MC) cartridge. Convenient front-panel controls allow users to select the input, switch between mono and stereo playback modes, and activate the rumble filter. Both balanced and unbalanced outputs provide flexible integration with a variety of audio systems. For MC cartridges, the variable impedance adjustment ranges from 50 to 1,050 ohms, allowing users to fine-tune cartridge loading. The MM gain options are 40 dB or 50 dB for unbalanced connections and 46 dB or 56 dB for balanced connections, while MC gain options are 50 dB or 60 dB unbalanced and 56 dB or 66 dB balanced. With RIAA equalization accuracy within 0.2 dB and total harmonic distortion below 0.02%, the Zphono XRM is engineered for accurate, low-distortion audio reproduction. Ultra-high-speed, low-noise operational amplifiers, audiophile-grade resistors and capacitors, and gold-plated RCA input and output jacks further support clean signal performance and reliable connectivity. Its distinctive half-rack-width chassis, occupying just one rack space in height, offers a compact and practical solution for high-quality vinyl playback systems.
