Product Features

The Polk Audio TL1600 Home Theater System is a compact 5.1 channel system with four similar satellite speakers for front and surround channels, one center channel, and one powered subwoofer for low frequencies. The front and surround features four identical TL1 satellites arranged vertically, with a highly distinctive curved cabinet design developed by Polk Audio. This creates a very distinct visual look, minimizes audio coloration from internal surface resonances, and fixes to create a stiffer case. 

An all-around high-gloss 'Blackstone' finish gives the speaker a beautiful glossy look, and the front features a removable black fabric grille that covers and protects the drivers. On the back, there's a keyhole bracket that allows you to mount the speaker to the wall, and TL1600 Polk Audio uses 5-way binding posts instead of cheap spring terminals for cable connections.

Powerful Tweeters

Silk dome tweeters deliver classic, clear and detailed Polk performance with pinpoint imaging and smooth highs that never tire Polk Audio TL1600. It's amazing what such a small and affordable audio system can offer, and manufacturers seem to have made a lot of progress in design and used technology to bring performance a little closer to more advanced systems. The system definitely has its limitations, and I wish the subwoofer had more punch, but given its size and cost, Polk Audio really did a great job.

Super Bass Driver

Tuned with the patented technology, the ultra-compact long-excursion mid-bass driver delivers a remarkably smooth, flat frequency response, excellent clarity and detail, and a surprising amount of power to play really loud in such a small speaker TL1600. This speaker has the ability to provide the technology places the acoustic centres of the tweeter and woofer in the same spatial plane for superior imaging, while an acoustic lens integrated into the grill smooths the frequency response of the tweeter.

Active Subwoofer

The Polk Audio includes an active down firing subwoofer suitable for rooms up to 70 square feet. With a 100-watt active amplifier and a long-throw 200 mm woofer on the back of the subwoofer, the TL1600 produces a lot of momentum from around 45 hertz Polk-Audio-TL1600. The cut-off frequency can be adjusted steplessly from 80 to 160 Hz by the built-in amplifier, and the phase can be adjusted by 180 degrees with a switch.

Budget Friendly

Being a budget-friendly audio system means no Dolby Atmos or DTS:X support without height speakers. There's a reason it's advertised as small and budget-friendly, but for the people it's intended for, a TL1600 5.1-channel system will suffice. It sticks and needs to be cleaned regularly. The included subwoofer blends very well with the other speakers, but we'd like to see it provide a little more punch.
