The ability to implement any configuration with ease makes the Duecanali series extremely flexible. Powersoft’s legendary efficiency saves valuable energy, keeping both operational cost and ‘carbon footprint’ at a minimum. The Duecanali 1604 DSP+D is designed to work with Lo-Z (from 2 Ω ) and with 70V/100V distributed lines: any mixed impedance output loads can be realised.
A fully integrated state-of-the-art DSP yields extensive system management functionality. In addition to sound shaping and limiter functions in unique Powersoft style, the DSP hardware and ArmoníaPlus software enable compliance with IEC 60849 for the crucial requirements of sound systems for emergency purposes. Features
The power supply features Powersoft’s legendary universal switch-mode design, tolerant up to 400VAC, with Power Factor Correction and a patented output filter with ripple cancellation. A low inrush limiting system reduces AC inrush current, eliminating the need for costly sequencers, and it includes a detachable AC mains cable with IEC C19/22.2 sockets (16A EU, 20A USA). The fully protected circuit offers AC protection, clip limiting, DC and VHF safeguards, short-circuit and long-term limiting, as well as thermal protection up to 80°C with a temperature-controlled fan and LCD temperature forecasting. Its fixed-frequency switch-mode output stage ensures high-grade sound accuracy, all within a compact 1RU, lightweight (7 kg) design with Phoenix connectors and remotely switchable dual inputs per channel. Loudspeaker configurations support direct drive of low-impedance loads or 70V/100V Hi-Z lines, with per-channel 35Hz/70Hz high-pass filters, Lo-Z/Hi-Z mixing, and bridged low-impedance modes. Alarm and GPI/O options include NC/NO contacts, remote ON/OFF, and per-channel remote VCA control. The TI C6000 DSP platform provides dual 24-bit/48 kHz AD/DA conversion, independent EQs with PEQ, shelving and FIR filters, up to 100 ms delay, Active DampingControl™, and multiple limiters (Peak, RMS voltage/current, TruePower™). Remote monitoring and control are available via ArmoníaPlus software, a dedicated WebApp, and hardware controls for attenuation (0–26 dB), high-pass filters (35/70 Hz), output selection (Lo-Z/Hi-Z/70V/100V), and adjustable gain (26–35 dB).
