The Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D is a flexible and reliable 8-channel power amplifier with up to a total of 4,000 W at 4Ω, ideal for multi-zone applications in small to mid-scale installs. Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D supports any combination of lo-Z loudspeakers, mono-bridgeable channel pairs and 70V/100V Hi-Z distributed lines with no need for output step-up transformers. The Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D features switchable main/aux signal inputs and offers a wide range of system control, alarms, GPI/O and monitoring functions as well as sound shaping options.

The Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D implements universal switch mode power supplies with PFC and patented SRM (Smart Rails Management) technology maximizing reliability & efficiency and reducing power consumption. New Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D heralds new and innovative level of signal processing. Providing flexible routing and mixing, multi-stage equalization with raised-cosine, IIR and FIR filters, delay up to 2 s in input processing and 100 ms for time alignment, gain and polarity adjustment, crossover, peak limiters, TruePower™ limiters, and Active DampingControl™.

Advanced Universal Power Supply

The amplifier features a universal switch-mode power supply tolerant up to 400VAC, equipped with active Power Factor Correction for maximum efficiency and stability. A patented output filter with ripple cancellation ensures clean power delivery, while Low Inrush Limiting technology minimizes startup current, eliminating the need for external power sequencers. A detachable IEC C19/C22.2 mains connector supports high current operation, ensuring compatibility across global installations.

Comprehensive Protection Architecture

Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D employs a fully protected circuit design to safeguard both the amplifier and connected loudspeakers. AC protection automatically shuts down the system when voltage moves outside the safe operating range. Clip limiting prevents harmful distortion without compromising peak power, while DC and VHF protection shield loudspeakers from infrasonic signals and harmful high-frequency noise. Additional safeguards include short-circuit protection with auto-reset, long-term RMS limiting, and thermal protection supporting output stage temperatures up to 80°C, ensuring reliable operation under continuous load.

Intelligent Thermal Management

A temperature-controlled, continuously variable-speed fan ensures efficient cooling with front-to-back airflow. This adaptive cooling system maintains optimal operating temperatures while minimizing noise, making the amplifier suitable for both rack rooms and acoustically sensitive environments.

Ottocanali 4K4 DSP+D supports direct drive of both low-impedance loudspeakers and 70V/100V high-impedance distributed systems. Each channel includes selectable 35Hz or 70Hz high-pass filters, enabling optimized speaker protection. Mixed Lo-Z and Hi-Z configurations are supported within the same unit, and bridged operation allows higher power delivery per channel pair when required.

Built on the TI C6000 DSP architecture, the amplifier offers exceptional processing power and precision. High-resolution AD/DA conversion uses a dual 24-bit / 96kHz Tandem® architecture, delivering a dynamic range of 127 dB per channel for pristine audio fidelity.

Each channel features independent input and output equalization with extensive filter options, including raised-cosine, custom FIR, and parametric IIR filters such as peaking, shelving, all-pass, band-pass, and band-stop. Professional Crossover and Time Alignment

The DSP includes a wide range of crossover types such as linear-phase FIR, hybrid FIR-IIR, Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley, and Bessel filters, with slopes ranging from 6 dB/oct to 48 dB/oct. Input delays up to 2 seconds and output delays up to 100 ms per channel enable accurate time alignment for complex multi-speaker systems.

Advanced Power and Speaker Control

Active DampingControl™ compensates for cable impedance, improving loudspeaker control and low-frequency accuracy. Comprehensive power limiting options include TruePower™, RMS voltage, RMS current, and peak limiting, ensuring maximum performance while protecting loudspeakers under all operating conditions.

Alarm, GPIO, and Remote Control Functions

The amplifier provides normally open and normally closed alarm contacts per channel for real-time system monitoring. Remote ON/OFF switching, AUX/MAIN input switching, and a 24VDC PWS OUT connector allow seamless integration into automated control systems.
