Quattrocanali 1204 offers the traditionally amazing sound quality and reliability of all Powersoft products.The patented SRM (Smart Rails Management) technology allows to maximize the efficiency of the system and drastically reduces power consumption in any load and usage condition. Quattrocanali features the lowest thermal dissipation in the industry, reducing the need for external cooling devices.

Quattrocanali is designed to operate with Lo-Z (from 2 Ω) and 70V/100V distributed lines or any mix of the two. DSP+ versions of the Quattrocanali grant in-depth control and monitoring via ArmoníaPlus, tailoring the sound and managing the system can be done in a remote, decentralised location.

DSP+ versions extend signal routing capabilities with the integration of AES67 digital audio networking architecture.This Amplifier Platform can also be trusted in mission-critical applications, such as fire alarm systems, thanks to the cleverly engineered power supply that allows reliable operation even when connected to a UPS. MyPowersoft services are available for this product.

Features

The Powersoft Quattrocanali 1204 DSP+ is a compact, high-performance amplifier designed for fixed installations requiring reliability, flexibility, and advanced control. Its power supply section features a patented output filter with ripple cancellation to ensure clean power delivery, along with low inrush limiting that eliminates the need for costly power sequencers. A detachable AC mains cable with IEC C19/22.2 socket supports both EU (16A) and USA (20A) standards for versatile integration.

To ensure system safety and longevity, the amplifier incorporates an extensive suite of protections, including AC protection, clip limiting, DC and VHF signal protection, short circuit protection, and long-term limiting for sustained signal control. It also features thermal protection and a temperature-controlled variable-speed fan with front-to-back airflow, along with a temperature forecast system that displays historical data on an LCD for proactive cooling management.

In terms of general design, the Quattrocanali 1204 DSP+ uses a fixed frequency switch-mode output stage for exceptional sound accuracy. Housed in a compact 1RU chassis and weighing just 7 kg (15.4 lbs), it is space- and transport-efficient. It uses standard Phoenix connectors and supports remotely switchable double inputs per channel, adding to its flexibility in multi-source systems.

The amplifier's settings allow for deep customisation, including defeatable clip limiters, digital gain and attenuation control, gating, gain/sensitivity adjustment, and user-defined output power and mains current draw per channel. To ensure system integrity, the configuration can be locked via an access key code. Built-in remote control through RS-485 enables full diagnostic and operational access.

Its advanced DSP section is powered by the TI C6000 platform, with dual 24-bit @ 48 kHz AD/DA converters using Tandem® architecture for high-resolution audio. Each channel supports independent equalizers (PEQ, raised cosine, shelving IIR, and custom FIR), delay up to 100 ms, and Active DampingControl™ for cable compensation. Robust limiting options including peak, RMS voltage/current, and TruePower™ safeguard system components.

For remote control and monitoring, users can access the amplifier via ArmoníaPlus software or a dedicated WebApp, offering full control and diagnostics. Additional features include attenuation control, switchable high-pass filters (35Hz/70Hz), output mode selection (Lo-Z, Hi-Z, 70V, 100V), and adjustable gain (26–35 dB) per channel, making the Quattrocanali 1204 DSP+ a powerful and adaptable solution for a wide range of professional installations.
