Quattrocanali 2404 DSP+D offers the traditionally amazing sound quality and reliability of all Powersoft products. The patented SRM (Smart Rails Management) technology allows to maximize the efficiency of the system and drastically reduces power consumption in any load and usage condition. Quattrocanali features the lowest thermal dissipation in the industry, reducing the need for external cooling devices.
Quattrocanali is designed to operate with Lo-Z (from 2 Ω) and 70V/100V distributed lines or any mix of the two. DSP+D versions of the Quattrocanali grant in-depth control and monitoring via Armonìa, tailoring the sound and managing the system can be done in a remote, decentralised location. This Amplifier Platform can also be trusted in mission-critical applications, such as fire alarm systems, thanks to the cleverly engineered power supply that allows reliable operation even when connected to a UPS.

At the core of the unit’s power supply is a patented ripple cancellation output filter, which ensures clean and stable power delivery. Inrush limiting eliminates the high current surge during startup, removing the need for external power sequencers. A detachable IEC C19/22.2 mains cable (rated 16A for EU and 20A for USA) allows for versatile, region-compliant power connections.
The amplifier is equipped with a robust suite of protection features to safeguard both the system and connected loudspeakers. These include AC protection that shuts down the amplifier if input voltage exceeds safe limits, a clip limiter to preserve signal integrity, and DC/VHF protection to block unwanted frequencies. Short circuit protection offers automatic reset capability, while long-term limiters reduce output during prolonged non-audio signal exposure. Thermal protection is provided up to 80°C, supported by a temperature-controlled fan with front-to-back airflow, and LCD-based temperature forecasting that monitors historical thermal behavior to anticipate cooling demands.
From a general design perspective, the amplifier utilizes a fixed-frequency switch-mode output stage for high-resolution audio fidelity. With a compact 1 RU form factor and a light weight of just 7 kg (15.4 lbs), it offers space efficiency and ease of installation. Standard Phoenix connectors ensure reliable connectivity for analog audio outputs, auxiliary supply, alarms, and GPIO. Each channel also supports remotely switchable dual inputs (main and auxiliary), enhancing routing flexibility.
In terms of settings, users can configure defeatable clip limiters, utilize digital gain-attenuator control, and toggle gate selection per channel. The amplifier also supports user-defined gain/sensitivity, maximum output power, and mains current draw per channel. All setup configurations can be locked using a custom access key code, and full remote access is enabled through the RS-485 interface for diagnostics, monitoring, and configuration.
The built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) section is powered by the TI C6000 platform, with dual 24-bit @ 48 kHz AD/DA converters using Tandem® architecture for pristine audio performance. Each channel includes independent equalisation tools PEQ, raised cosine, shelving IIR, and custom FIR filters as well as up to 100 ms of delay for precise signal alignment. Active DampingControl™ compensates for cable losses over distance, and TruePower™ limiters (peak, RMS voltage/current) ensure consistent, safe operation.
For remote control and monitoring, the amplifier is fully compatible with ArmoníaPlus software and includes a dedicated WebApp for browser-based management. Hardware-level controls include attenuation adjustments (0–26 dB), switchable high-pass filters (35 Hz, 70 Hz), Lo-Z/Hi-Z/70V/100V output selection, and adjustable gain (26–35 dB) providing installers and operators with the tools needed for precise system optimisation. Altogether, this feature set makes the Quattrocanali Series a reliable, powerful, and flexible choice for commercial audio applications across hospitality, education, retail, worship and more.
