Description
Classic CLF 1.78:1 (16:9) with 3.35" Frame Native Image Ratio
Screen Research's fixed frame screen range provides a variety of options for installation, suitable for any number of situations. The Integrator range allows the use of Screen Research fabrics in environments that do not require a finished frame. Available in both standard and TheaterCurve version to suit a variety of custom installation applications.
Supreme fixed frames feature velour-covered frames to provide enhanced perceived image contrast ratio and cater for any projector over-scan. Supreme frames feature the new, patented E-Grip fabric attachment system. They are available in both standard and TheaterCurve version, for use with anamorphic projectors.
One of the most annoying effects on vision is caused by light reflecting off the frame of the screen. Extensive research into the structure of the profile, both from a functional and an aesthetic point of view, has resulted in the creation of a screen equipped with a special aluminium frame, angular on the internal side. A solution designed to direct the reflection towards the outer edges of the screen instead of the projection surface or the audience.
The profiles are coated in a velvety flock finish, which totally absorbs light and enhances the perception of contrast in the projected images. Tensioning is provided by elastic cables which guarantee the perfect planarity of the surface, preventing any risk of undulation. The main applications of this product are in the Home Cinema sector; its use in the domestic environment is favoured by a harmonious design and by the installation system incorporated into the profile the wall-mounted bracket slides into the back of the frame and disappears, ensuring the total adherence of the frame to the wall.
ClearPix™ Ultimate White 0.75
Designed to be the market’s reference in picture quality coupled with true acoustic transparency for the most exclusive dedicated home theater applications. Our unique THX, ISF and PVA woven fiberglass core projection surface with special PVC coating allows ClearPix™ Ultimate to reach better and more linear off-axis light diffusion than even the best available Lambertian's laboratory light diffuser material. The result is an absolutely perfect off-axis color diffusion, with no-color shifts throughout the whole viewing angle. The special structure of this fabric makes it not only Moiré-free, but also speckle free, so perfect for use with the best true RGB laser projectors. It is also absent of any sparkling effect resulting in an ideal screen material for use in high dynamic range applications with resolutions that surpass the capability of human eye to perceive small details from the viewing position, and perfectly suited for today’s 8K applications and tomorrow’s 16K resolutions and beyond. Thanks to complete absence of sparkle effect and perfect on and off-axis color accuracy reference film-like image video quality is obtained, with very high image depth perception in properly designed reference home theater and media rooms.
Extreme attention to picture performance makes this projection surface the best choice for the most critical post-production studio applications as well. From the introduction of the first ClearPix™ screen material, Screen Research always stood as the industry benchmark for true acoustic transparency, and we are still unmatched today. ClearPix™ Ultimate widens further this gap, making it the most acoustically transparent screen material that Screen Research has ever introduced. This allows for proper positioning of front loudspeakers behind the screen, without the need of any acoustic compensation whatsoever. Extreme flatness, material strength, resistance, dimensional stability and durability are also unique features of our award-wining range of ClearPix™ screen materials.
Acoustic Transparency
Acoustical transparency is tested with impulse response measurements using a Log-Sine Sweep test signal and repeated eight (8) times. A measurement microphone is placed at a distance of 1m from the loudspeaker used for the test. First the system measures itself and the surrounding environment and the result is used as a transfer function for subsequent measurements. This provides a reference flat line response from 80Hz-22kHz (0dB line). Then, a 1m x 1m section of screen material is placed in front of the loudspeaker and measured. The results shown above are the deviations from the flat-line response caused by placing the screen material in front of the loudspeaker. Loss caused by the screen is indicated as a dB change between 10kHz and 20kHz, and we also indicate exact dB loss at specific frequencies from 1kHz to 20kHz. A
Features
The screen features a light reflecting optimized frame design, which helps manage reflections for improved viewing comfort. It includes constant fabric tensioning for perfect flat surface, ensuring that the screen remains smooth and undistorted. Additionally, the easy and fast fabric mount attachment system simplifies installation and setup.
