The magic of home theater is based on the suspension of disbelief; that moment when the viewer is totally immersed in an audio/video experience, when sound and image work seamlessly. This challenge drove the development of Screen Research's patented ClearPix™ screen fabric.

Ideally, with the large images possible with a projection screen, loudspeakers need to be placed behind the screen. This presents obvious problems. A conventional solution is to micro-perforate the screen and apply acoustic correction to the audio signal. With the advent of fixed-pixel projectors, the regular pattern of holes in the screen can coincide with the image matrix, creating a disturbing visual effect: moiré.

ClearPix™ Ultimate fabric solves both of these issues in one fabric. Its woven construction avoids moiré and provides an acoustically transparent structure with minimal insertion loss and no need for acoustic correction. At the same time, it maintains perfect color balance and a uniform white field, with no hot spots for the ultimate video performance. Moreover, ClearPix™ Ultimate has been certified by major international entities (THX, ISF and PVA).

THX Certified Projection Screens

Every THX Certified Projection Screen is tested to ensure that the optical properties do not impact the chrominance, luminance or uniformity of the projected image. THX analyzes the micro-perforations and screen materials to make sure that it is manufactured in such a way that it’s invisible to the eye when viewed from your seating position. This acoustically transparent material makes it possible to place the loudspeakers behind a THX Certified screen, allowing for a smooth sound experience in relation to the picture.

Classic Line 110" Wide Fixed Frame Projector Screen With Woven ClearPix 4 AT Material (1.78:1)

The Classic Line 110” fixed frame projector screen is designed with performance and elegance in mind, making it an excellent choice for high-end home cinema installations. One of the major visual distractions in projection setups is light reflecting off the screen frame. To combat this, the frame has been carefully engineered with a light-reflecting optimized design, featuring an angular aluminum profile that directs stray light away from the projection surface and audience, toward the outer edges. This significantly enhances viewing comfort and image fidelity.

The frame is finished with a velvety black flock coating, which not only absorbs excess light but also improves the perceived contrast of the projected image. Constant Fabric Tensioning is achieved through elastic cables, ensuring a flat, ripple-free surface for optimal image quality. The easy and fast fabric mounting system simplifies installation, while the integrated wall-mounting bracket slides seamlessly into the frame, allowing the screen to sit flush against the wall clean and unobtrusive.

Screen Surface

The screen features ClearPix 4WB, an acoustically transparent white fabric backed with a black layer to eliminate light penetration. ClearPix™ material is specifically woven to prevent moiré effects and provides excellent acoustic transparency with minimal insertion loss, eliminating the need for additional audio correction. This fabric also delivers perfect color balance and a uniform white field, without hot spots, making it ideal for all fixed matrix projectors.
