Taking its name from the sonet - the oldest Italian poetic structure - Sonetto is both steeped in tradition and driven by evolutions in technology.

Derived from the Italian word for “sonnet,” meaning “little song,” Sonetto G2 pays homage to the rich traditions of both Italy and Sonus faber. Featuring our signature artisanal craftsmanship and innovative design, each individual driver is custom-engineered specifically for this collection.
Familiar Design, Enhanced
Lute-shaped speakers, an iconic Sonus faber design element, combines aesthetic elegance with high-fidelity sound, optimizing sound dispersion for an immersive listening experience. Focusing on natural materials, true to Sonus faber tradition, Sonetto G2 follows Suprema’s innovative cork internal chamber design and the Camelia midrange. Harnessing cork’s acoustic properties, the speakers enhance mid-high frequencies resolution and Natural Sound quality. In addition, the familiar high-quality wood cabinets have been enhanced with a new concrete base to provide superior stability and better vibration management.

The Sonus Faber Sonetto V represents a fusion of technological innovation to create a sound so engaging it captures the passion of music. Sonetto V, a 3-way floorstanding speaker, embodies the core design principles of Sonus faber with an intense and lively voice. It captures the dramatic elements of sound to craft a steadfast soundstage.
The lute shape that characterises many Sonus faber models has been redesigned to ensure the delivery of the perfect control over internal resonances.
The midrange design of the Sonetto V builds upon the Sonus faber Suprema midrange technology. It incorporates the distinct untainted Camelia diaphragm, renowned for its clarity and precision. Additionally, the inclusion of a carefully engineered aluminum phase plug ensures optimal dispersion and coherence. The result is an immersive and lifelike listening experience emblematic of the Natural Sound known as “The Voice of Sonus faber.”

The Sonetto V G2 is a 3.0-way floorstanding speaker designed to deliver high-performance audio through thoughtful engineering and premium materials. Its midrange driver is housed in a sealed cork enclosure, enhancing clarity and minimizing resonance, while the woofers operate within a down-vented box for extended low-frequency response. At the top end, the speaker features a 1.1" DAD™ Arrow Point tweeter with an extended frequency range and a copper shorting ring for reduced distortion. The 6.5" Camelia midrange driver, also equipped with a copper shorting ring, ensures natural, articulate vocal and instrument reproduction. For deep, tight bass, the system includes two 6.5" woofers incorporating aluminum demodulation rings, which enhance linearity and reduce harmonic distortion. Altogether, the Sonetto V G2 blends refined acoustic performance with innovative design tailored for serious music enthusiasts.
