SVS Prime Elevation speakers play any role in a home theater surround sound system amazingly well. Designed to easily mount directly to the wall or ceiling with the Multi-Purpose Wall Bracket (patent pending), the SVS Prime Elevation can be used as a direct-radiating height effects speaker for immersive object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® and Auro-3D®. With its angled front baffle, Prime Elevation can also be used as left or right fronts, a center channel, side surrounds and rear surrounds to provide crisp, dynamically charged sound in rooms of all shapes with all different architectural features.

Immersive three-dimensional surround sound formats such as Dolby Atmos®, DTS® and Auro-3D® enhance movie, music, television and gaming experiences by incorporating overhead height effects that create a dome of sound around the listener. The SVS Prime Elevation is designed specifically for these applications, directly radiating full-range sound towards the listening position without the frequency response limitations and ideal room conditions often required by conventional ceiling-bounce speaker designs. It is also a versatile, multi-purpose home theatre speaker that can function as a front, centre, side surround, rear surround or LCR speaker when ideal placement is not possible.

SVS Takes Immersive Three-Dimensional Surround Sound to New Heights

Immersive home theatre systems using Dolby Atmos and other three-dimensional audio formats offer an engaging listening experience through overhead sound effects. However, conventional ceiling-bounce speaker designs rely on sound reflecting off the ceiling, requiring suitable room conditions and potentially limiting frequency response. The Prime Elevation takes a different approach by directly radiating sound towards the listener, delivering the dynamic performance, pinpoint accuracy and refinement of a high-end bookshelf speaker. When mounted high on a wall near the ceiling and angled towards the listening position, it reproduces height effects with full-range sound without relying on ceiling reflections or requiring in-ceiling speakers.

Amazingly Adaptable Multi-Angle Wall Bracket Solves Countless Speaker Placement Challenges

The Prime Elevation combines a specially angled front baffle, precisely tuned acoustics, high-quality components and an innovative Multi-Angle Wall Bracket to support a wide range of installation possibilities. It can be mounted on walls or ceilings using the included bracket and ceiling mount insert, helping accommodate different room layouts and speaker placement requirements. A universal mounting option with a ¼-inch 20 TPI brass insert is also included for compatibility with many other mounting kits. Even the magnetic SVS logo on the front grille can be adjusted to suit the speaker's orientation.

One Speaker, Endless Possibilities

The SVS Prime Elevation supports several home theatre configurations depending on the room layout and installation requirements. When mounted high on a side wall and directed towards the listening position, it works as a down-firing height effects speaker, offering a direct-radiating alternative to ceiling-bounce solutions. It can also function as an up- or down-firing front, LCR or centre channel speaker when positioned above or below the viewing area and angled towards the listener, particularly when ear-level placement is not possible. For surround applications, it can be installed on a side wall to reproduce rear effects or on a rear wall to deliver side surround effects when conventional speaker placement is impractical.

Ceiling installations offer further placement possibilities. Speakers can be positioned in front of the listening area and angled down towards the rear of the room, or behind the listening area and angled towards the front. They can also be installed to the left and right of the listening position, angled down towards the opposite sides. For Auro-3D systems, a Prime Elevation speaker can be mounted directly overhead for the channel commonly known as the “Voice of God”.
