12-inch SVS High-Excursion Driver

The PB-1000 Pro features an upgraded 12-inch high-excursion driver with a dual ferrite motor assembly, offering increased surface area and the ability to move substantial amounts of air with precision. Its fiber composite cone has a high stiffness-to-mass ratio, helping generate high sound pressure levels while maintaining precise start-and-stop performance.

The proprietary injection-moulded extreme-excursion surround supports controlled pistonic motion and accurate, low-distortion performance, even at high drive levels. A dual ferrite magnet motor assembly with an extended aluminium polepiece provides powerful, responsive bass. The powder-coated, FEA-optimised driver basket offers rigidity, tensile strength and thermal energy transfer, while the dual-layer voice coil design enhances linearity and fidelity at full excursion while minimising distortion and power compression.

Sledge STA-325D Amplifier

The Sledge STA-325D amplifier is rated at 325 watts RMS and 820+ watts peak power. It combines the efficiency of Class D amplification with fully discrete MOSFET output to deliver high current, powerful output and precise control. Its fully discrete MOSFET design enables high-current delivery and controlled performance, while the 50 MHz high-resolution Analog Devices audio DSP supports advanced in-room tuning, DSP controls and custom presets. Optimised frequency response curves for the ported PB-1000 Pro cabinet help deliver powerful, accurate bass.

PB-1000 Pro Smartphone App

The SVS Subwoofer DSP smartphone app provides convenient access to volume adjustment, DSP functions and custom presets for music, movies and gaming. It allows users to adjust crossover frequencies, three-band parametric EQ, polarity and room gain. Bluetooth connectivity enables convenient control even when the subwoofer is out of sight.

Customizable presets provide one-touch tuning based on listening preferences, while variable port tuning modes offer customised frequency response curves for Standard and Sealed settings. The three-band parametric EQ allows precise adjustments to boost or cut, Q-factor and frequency down to single-Hz increments, helping address room peaks, nulls and other acoustic issues.

Rear Panel Intelligent Control Interface (ICI)

The rear-panel SVS Intelligent Control Interface provides access to essential subwoofer controls and connections. Its level control allows output adjustment according to the system and room, while the low-pass filter control helps achieve smooth transitions and seamless blending with the main speakers. Phase control aligns the subwoofer's output timing with the main speakers or additional subwoofers.

The USB port can power the optional SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter, eliminating the need for a cable run from the source component. Connectivity also includes an RCA audio interconnect input for use with most AV receivers and preamplifiers, along with speaker-level stereo inputs for older receivers.

Acoustically Inert and Rigidly Braced Ported Cabinet Design

The PB-1000 Pro features an acoustically optimised ported cabinet with an extra-thick MDF front baffle and rigid internal bracing, designed to provide a stable, resonance-free enclosure. Its dual-port design allows maximum airflow for improved bass output with reduced distortion.

Acoustic insulation helps minimise cabinet coloration during deep, high-volume playback. A protective, non-resonant, extra-thick ABS grille frame with fabric mesh cover shields the driver, while reinforced internal bracing supports controlled performance at high drive levels. Custom screw-in iso-elastomer feet help reduce noise artifacts and improve stability.
