The Zidoo media player represents a new generation of high-performance, feature-rich home entertainment hardware. Powered by the advanced Amlogic S928X-K 64-bit penta-core processor (ARM Cortex-A76 + A55), it delivers exceptional processing speed and multitasking capabilities. Built for high-resolution media playback, it supports HDMI 2.1® output at up to 8K 60Hz, complete with HDR10, HLG, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support for stunning visuals.

Engineered for audiophiles and cinephiles alike, the device supports Atmos and DTS:X audio passthrough, along with high-fidelity audio playback of DSD, WAV, APE, and DTS formats. The built-in VS10 engine enables fine-tuned image processing for improved brightness, contrast, and color mapping across all formats.

It features extensive codec support, including AV1, VP9, H.265, AVS3, and AVS2, with 12-bit color depth and the wide BT.2020 color gamut. Higher Level HDR10+

Z9X 8K is compatible with HDR10+ technology. HDR10+ is the latest and most advanced HDR technology, enhancing the hewing experience beyond HDR10. HDR10+ represents the dynamic range of video content on a per-scene (or even per-frame) basis, providing essential scene characteristics with minimal metadata to preserve important details. While static HDR uses a uniform static tone mapping throughout the content’s duration, HDR10+ employs dynamic tone mapping to optimize each scene, individually increasing brightness and contrast to match the capabilities of the display.

Dolby Vision VS10 Technology

The advanced Dolby Vision VS10 video processing engine ensures the highest image quality when playing any type of content (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision) with any type of video output signal (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision). It improves the quality of SDR/HDR/Dolby Vision conversion, minimising the color banding effect. This benefit extends even to older TVs that do not support Dolby Vision. Moreover, the Z9X 8K’s VS10 engine, further developed by Zidoo, can be customised to optimize the viewing experience for different content.
